Incline Education Fund (IEF) is spearheading an initiative to create the first K-12 STEM (public school) pathway in the state of Nevada. We are doing this by laying the groundwork for unique STEM programming at each school.
With the generous support of the Incline community and recently awarded grants, IEF has funded the launch of the makerspace program at Incline Elementary, the robotics program at Incline Middle and the engineering & entrepreneurship program at Incline High School. (See a description of each on separate pages under the Technology tab). Each of these programs are accessible to students of ALL ages and demographics.
Our goal is to tie these STEM programs together and help to build a coordinated curriculum so that our students have access to a K-12 STEM pathway. We want to give our students the tools to become uniquely prepared for a future college or career in a STEM field.
By pursuing the Nevada Governor’s OSIT STEM School Designation for all levels of our students’ education, we are ensuring that our schools meet the highest standards of STEM instruction and are a model for other schools around the state.
IEF applied for this designation on behalf of Incline Elementary and Incline High Schools. Both schools were granted the coveted designation in May, 2023.
Note: IEF will apply for the designation for Incline Middle School in 2024 as their robotics program was just recently launched.
